The is an all-round (perhaps perfect) sailing jacket. This is not heavy duty foul weather gear, but it is totally waterproof (taped seams) and has all of the features needed for light weather lake or coastal sailing. We think that it would be an ideal jacket for sailing in the Bahamas (most of the time) or the Virgin Islands.
